Teachers & Technologies

The education requirement for high school is to be able to use different tools online to complete a variety of projects. The students are also expected to know how to collaborate with each other through online tools. Students should know the basics for data analysis and evaluation. They should be able to extract and analyze patterns from online resources. Students should know how to solve computational problems and know some basic algorithms. They should also know how softwares works, and utilize Artificial Intelligence resources. I believe that I am equipped to implement the standard regarding using different tools online and collaboration. I had many experiences with different online tools used for different projects and am very familiar with online collaboration.

There are many resources on CPALMS for third grade science classes. Some of the resources include tutorials for little experiments and demonstrations of scientific concepts. I believe that these can be a great resource for an introduction before the class. Students might be very interested in watching these cartoon demonstrations on the topic they are about to learn. These demonstrations can spark students’ curiosity and help them to focus better in the classroom.

Internet searching skill is important for teachers because it gives us results that are specific to what we are looking for. Especially the feature where we could look for a specific document type, information within a website, and the copyright. As teachers, these specified searches can save us lots of time and allow us to find the most accurate resource. In the future, I will definitely be using the searching skills including excluding certain words in my search, and searching on a specific website. Image searching is also a helpful way to get more information.
